A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S is buying LF Logistics with its 223 distribution centers in Asia. With this new addition Maersk’s portfolio totals 549 facilities across the globe with 9,5 million square meters. Reasoning for such an expansion being the increasing profitability of land-based logistics. Maersk, which is one of the biggest transporters of the world’s containers at sea, has also expressed interest in buying air-freight company Senator International in the first half of 2022 as it seeks to grow its presence in all parts of the transport chain.
